PRINCETON — St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton is offering four different types of worship opportunities at this time. This includes in-person worship, weekly worship videos, a monthly drive-thru communion and printed service mailed to those requesting this.
For in-person worship, a single service at 9 a.m. on Sundays with seating in the sanctuary (50 people) and the fellowship hall with a live television feed (50 people).
Communion is served with social distancing methods as people then are dismissed to the vehicles. The service follows health department and CDC social distancing guidelines.
On the first Sunday of the month (Aug. 2 and Sept. 6), St. Matthews will offer a drive-thru communion service in the parking lot at 10:45 a.m. To conclude the brief service, communion is served (using social distancing measures) to people in their vehicles as they leave the parking lot.
St. Matthews will mail printed worship bulletins and sermon manuscripts to homes to be used by those people who still wish to shelter-in-place. Contact St. Matthews if you would like to receive these.
Sunday morning worship services are also recorded and later posted as a YouTube video. These will be posted sometime between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning as the videos take time to process.
