Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kimberley celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

On July 17, 1955, Lydia Bazan of Yorkville became the bride of Fred Kimberley of rural Princeton at the First Methodist Church of Princeton. The bride’s sister, Francis Sebby, served as matron of honor. John Walstrom served as best man for the bridegroom as Rev. Cedric Pope united the couple in holy matrimony. Mrs. Bernard Smith was at the organ playing nuptial selections and accompanying soloist Elaine Soderburg. Following a reception, the couple left on a honeymoon trip to the Black Hills.

Fred and Lydia are the parents of three children. Fred Jr. (Kelly) of rural Malden, Scott of Peoria and Rita (Ned Merrick) of Kronburg, Germany. They are the grandparents of four, Mason Kimberley, Vaughn Kimberley, Zia Kimberley and William Merrick.

Fred is retired from LCN and Lydia from Perry Memorial’s X-ray department. They continue to reside in rural Princeton.
