LADD — The Ladd Community Consolidated School Board met Aug. 21, and conducted the following business:

• Received the audit report from Hopkins and Associates. The district is in “financial recognition” status.

• Learned the district again received school supplies through the Illinois Valley United Way HUSKY grant, Project Success, and staff members. The Lions Club gave a cash donation for supplies. Many families requested help with supplies this year and received that help, thanks to the generosity of the Illinois Valley community.

• Reviewed the tentative FY19 budget and voted to hold the budget public hearing at 6 p.m. Sept. 18 in the John T. Piccatto Library.

• Hired Amanda Coutts as athletic director and Liana Hall as chess coach.
