SPRING VALLEY — The students, staff and community will be testing their dodging abilities at the first JFK Elementary School Student Council Dodgeball Tournament on Friday, March 15.
The tournament will begin at 6 p.m. in the Spring Valley Elementary School gym, and there will be a $2 entry fee for spectators.
Each paying entry and team member will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win Apple Air Pods. Concessions will be available during the event, and whether playing, watching, or cheering, it’s sure to be a fun night for all.
This spirited event is being organized by the JFK Student Council members to raise money for the Illinois Association of Junior High Student Council State Service Project, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Illinois. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Illinois/America is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose goal is to help all children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with volunteer mentors. Big Brothers Big Sisters is one of the oldest and largest youth mentoring organizations in the United States.
