John 'Jack' Tokarski

PETALUMA, Calif. — John ‘Jack’ Tokarski of Petaluma, Calif., drew his last breath on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, in the company of his wife, Antoinette, his son, Tony, and his daughter-in-law, Naoko.

He was born on Dec. 28, 1944, in Port Huron, Mich., and moved to California to attend San Jose St. University, where he graduated with a degree in political science. Upon his marriage, he moved to Ohio, Ill., his wife's hometown, where he worked for J&L Steel and coached Little League. After experiencing the legendary blizzard of 1978, the family returned to California. They settled in Petaluma and Jack resumed his painting business. He made friends wherever he went and he treasured those friendships forever.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma CA 94952.
