OREGON - It was a tough start for the PrincetonTigerwrestlers in the Oregon Sectional prelims Friday.

Chase Tatum (220) won by fall in 0:26 over Hunter Mcalpine of Marquette to advance into Saturday's semifinals.

The only other Tiger to taste victory was Caleb Alter, who won his opener at 113 pounds by fall in 3:13. He then lost by fall in 2:28.

Peyton Hammerich (160) was leading his match 2-0 at 160 pounds in the first period, but got caught in the third period, losing by fall to Sam Durley of Stillman Valley in 4:37.

Two Tigers droppedone-point matches with Zach Bohms (170) losing a 9-8 decision and Dallas Hill (195) dropping an 8-7 decision

Colin Colmone (106) lost by fall in 1:01

Gabe Thompson (138) lost by fall in 3:57

"Overall, it was not a real great night. We lost two matches (Hammerich and Hill) we shouldn't have. We need to have a short memory and come back in the morning, ," PHS coach Steve Amy said. " Alter wrestled well in the fist round. He's made small steps and improved all year."

Dominic Bima (106) won the only match for St. Bede by fall in 1:17. but then lost by fall in 0:23.

Wrestleback opportunities will be on the line when round 2 resumes Saturday morning.
