Festival 56 announces local auditions for 2018 summer season

PRINCETON — Local auditions for Festival 56’s summer season will take place during a free audition workshop at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Grace Performing Arts Center.

The workshop and auditions are open to any talented dancer, singer or actor age 14 and up. Auditioners do not need to have prepared material. During the combined workshop/auditions, casting director Laura Brigham will reveal the secret to a less nerve-racking audition experience. All participants must pre-register by calling the box office at 815-879-5656.

Founded in 2003, Festival 56 is entering its 15th year of presenting live professional theater in the Princeton area. Summer productions include "A Year with Frog and Toad," "The Addams Family," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," "Peter and the Starcatcher" and "The MOMologues." Festival 56 also presents free Shakespeare in the Park during the month of July. This year’s production is "A Midsummer Night’s Dream."
